Our History
 
 
In the early 90 ‘s also in Italy comes accepted the European law imposing to butcher within the industrial slaughterhouses; at very low temperatures; often below the standard classic12°C.
So also we, operators in the air conditioning and refrigeration field; have been forced to learn in how to try to distribute large masses of cold air from 0°C to 6°C , over persons employed in handling and preparing foods; without with this inducing them in sickness.
So ; the starting working experiences , consisting basically of handling mechanical engineering matters and refrigeration components; has been further enriched with other concepts like thermal comfort; chemical contamination; microbiological contamination, and health.

At that time we started to study air diffusion and air distribution physics laws. Also inside the industrial slaughterhouses and the food industry, we started to experiment how to manufacture textile air diffusers in a nice and coloured manner , in such a way it was furtherly possible to go and install them; also for other applications like in the interior environments.


 

 

 




1991

The first software able to predict air velocities, mixing temperature, and turbulence index inside confined spaces, are created starting from Lotus and Excel.

1993

We create the first materials classified differently depending their use based on different outflow characteristics:
Laminar and turbulent cross flows.

1997

“Ursino Castle” in Catania was restored: Since the exceptional event ; an extraordinary exhibition of works of art had take place:
From a collaboration between the Sicilian tourism and culture committee, and the Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum; works produced from Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet; Paul Cezanne ;George Braque Wassily kandisky; Giorgio De Chirico, Kazimir Malevich,Henry Matisse; Andy Warhol, Piet Mondrian; Mario Merz, Enzo Cucchi, Marc Chagall;Willelm de Kooning; have been exposed to the public view; under a new air conditioning plant and a Blowtex air diffusion system.
Since the enormous responsibility; Blowtex has totally restudied new condensation-proof materials.

1998

Blowtex develop new materials : Dimensions are reduced in order to make washing operation easier. At the same time washing resistance, and material’s mechanical strength are increased.
New fitting systems have been realized in order to let fast and easy mounting and dismounting operations when necessary.

2002

The stitching process is completely reviewed: A new very slow “Three stitching process” is used, to ensure an enormous mechanical strength to stretching forces.

2004

The Co2 laser micro-cutting initial process , comes improved by a step by step comparison with the air outflow calculation software.

2006

All the cutting process is compared with the calculation software.
Calculation software and technical documentation are shared in the internet using the ASP language. The new software are able to give an efficient map of air velocity difference in temperature inside the air conditioned room, visible to the consultant engineer, the installer, the end user.
